Aims:
1. To provide a facility for the people, especially young people of Cawston and surrounding areas to belong to a non profit making Drama Group known as Cawston Amateur Theatrical Society (CATS).
2. To provide training in all aspects of the Theatre culminating the minimum of two public performances per year.
3. To raise the standard of amateur theatre and enable the Society's members to reach their full potential in Performing Arts
4. To give a focal point of amateur theatrical productions in Cawston and the surrounding areas.

Objectives:
1. To form a Committee of not less than five persons. Said Committee to consist of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and one member to represent the younger element of the Society. Other members to be co-opted before productions, to cover publicity, costumes etc.
2. To hold and Open General Meeting annually in the month of September, subsequent Committee Meetings to be held before and after productions, a minimum of four annually.
3. To accept all committed persons to the Society aged from 8 years up, regardless of origins, ability or sex. No auditions to be held except those for the casting of productions. All Children aged 10 years and under to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
4. Every member to complete a membership form, giving contact details, and all members to receive a list of sessions and rehearsal dates.
5. Weekly subs to be payable by all members to cover the hire of Cawston Village Hall and refreshment costs. Any increases in subs to be agreed at committee meetings.
6. All monies received to be used in the furtherance of awareness, appreciation and participation in the Performing Arts. Any surplus to be given to a Charity chosen by a majority vote of all members.
7. There to be regular weekly sessions in Cawston Village Hall. These sessions to provide training and experience in all aspects of Theatre work, involving engaging professional tutors when necessary. Each session to provide a Social Time with light refreshments.
8. There to be two Public Performances per year, and an annual visit to a Professional Theatre.
9. On dissolution of "CATS", any assets to be sold for the best price, and all sale proceeds from these assets, cash in hand and in the Bank, after paying all expenses owed, to be donated to a Registered Charity as agreed by a majority vote, by all members of the Committee.
