Beryl Thomas
Director and joint founder of CATS. She has written the scripts for all
our pantomimes and also "Frolicking in the Forties", a humorous play set during world war II.
Her scripts are imaginative, witty, fresh and original. They are adapted to suit our group. If
you are interested in hiring any of these scripts please contact Beryl (you can use the site
contact page to do so). Beryl is also involved in the general running of CATS, Choreography and
make up.
Liz Beard
Producer and joint founder of CATS. Liz has organised and provided all the
costumes for every show. We have never yet needed to hire. Most are obtained from charity shops,
some she makes herself or alters, and some are borrowed. The dragon and wolf costume shown below
were made by Dave Thomas. We now have a huge costume wardrobe and if you are in another group
interested in hiring or require a fancy dress costume please contact Liz (you can do so via our
contact page). Liz is also involved in the general running of CATS, she is our treasurer and
organises choosing songs and music for our shows.
Wendy Young
organises all our props. She always manages to provide exactly what we
need. If she cannot obtain an authentic item at a sensible price she will make it herself. If you
are interested in hiring props please contact Wendy (you can use the contact page to do so). She
has also shown amazing talent by painting our scenery.
Tony McCoan
works really hard erecting our stage and building the set. He is able to
transform the village hall, which is basically a plain room into a terrific small theatre with stage,
backdrops, wings, changing rooms and curtains. This all then has to be taken down and stored after
each show.
Andrew Moll
Musical Director. He gently coaxes our singers and encourages them to perform
by building their confidences gradually. He has certainly raised our musical standards.
Dave Beard
operates our sound and lighting. He organises all our sound effects and
non-live music. Dave is also our chairman. He has also
been hired by Shining Lights Young Performers of Aylsham for their shows.
